Yes, with eyes open: November is late spring - the season is properly underway, days are long, and demand is a notch under the December-February peak. The trade is weather volatility; snow on high sections is still possible and the wind is already in voice. For trekkers who book refugios late, November dates are often the ones still available - a practical argument as much as a scenic one.

December through February brings the longest days and warmest temperatures - and the heaviest demand and strongest wind. The connoisseur picks are the shoulders: November and March trade a little daylight for calmer trails and better refugio availability. October and April are for the flexible and warm-blooded. Whatever the month, book the beds first and the flights second.

The W takes 4-5 trekking days; add arrival and departure through Puerto Natales and you're at a week. Non-trekkers can meet the park's headline sights in one long vehicle day from Puerto Natales, or two using the base-of-the-towers day trek plus a vehicle day. The O Circuit - the full loop - wants 7-9 trekking days.

For trekking with infrastructure, Chile's Torres del Paine is the standard-setter; Argentina answers with El Chaltén's free trails and El Calafate's Perito Moreno glacier. They're also not exclusive: the bus between El Calafate and Puerto Natales runs about five hours, and a full-day Torres del Paine tour runs from El Calafate itself. Most two-week Patagonia trips simply do both sides.
